Lousiana Soundcloud superstar Summrs releases his first project in 2019 entitled Better Left Alone. This project features production from the likes of Leesta, NoirBrent, eddiegianni, CashBentley, Charlie Shufflerm Afterhrs, Xangang, and Lil4. Summrs has been gaining more and more traction with every release. This project is only adding to his steamrolling of the underground. His high energy style is all over this tape. Everything from start to finish on this is filled with his amazing charisma.

A highlight of this tape has to be the Xangang produced track Hear Me Out. While we are used to having collaborations from Xangang and Summrs, this is the only track on the tape that is produced by him.  While that being said, the beat for this has an infectious quality to it. The melody sticks out but I believe that only adds to it. Everything from that melody to the hard-hitting bassline that comes in shortly after, adds to the infectious quality I spoke on earlier that makes this a Summrs classic.

The next song I wanna speak about is the closer to this tape. Don’t Say Nun produced by Lil4 sticks out like a sore thumb on this tape. I would never of thought that Summrs would hop on a beat with like this. I was extremely surprised how nice the song turned out. The sample/melody that Lil4 used was done tastefully and left me as the listener wanting more. Summrs snapped on this beat like no other. The reverb and his flow on this track made me want to keep listening again and again.

Summrs is a superstar in the making. Everything he has put out in the past 6 months have warranted why youtube is flooded with “summrs type beats” and soundcloud is filled with people naming themselves after different seasons (outside of Autumn). This tape is an expectational start for his 2019 and I’m looking forward to all the music he will be releasing this year. Check out the project down below and tell us what you think of it.
