Western New York has rap in its clutches right now. There’s no question that we’re getting some of the most gutter music out of the region. One of the frigid spots in the country, bringing straight ice-cold sounds to the streets. Rochester’s Eto is among the vicious emcees that are putting on for Western New York.
Teaming up with DJ Muggs for twelve ominous tracks on their latest offering, Hells Roof. The duo creates some real cutthroat music. Eto professes stories of hustling and getting to it by any means. A recurring theme in his work, staying true to himself within every project. As Muggs lays down some menacing production track after track. Bringing along fellow gutter artists Roc Marciano, Flee Lord, Big Twins, Willie The Kid, and Meyhem Lauren.
“Last Supper” is my favorite track on the project currently. Muggs puts together a drum focused beat that holds a villainous vibe. Eto and Meyhem Lauren absolutely rip the beat apart, on that real hustler flow. This is the vibe followed over the entire project’s duration. Go get that Hells Roof!
