Trends have become the new norm in the underground, and entire movements of fashion and sound continue to influence even the most experimental artists. Saying David Shawty‘s OOZE is far from usual is an understatement. If you were to take psychedelics and listen to static you would probably find similar patterns of melody and genius. An ad on Soundcloud interrupted my listen in the middle of the album, and it felt like I had escaped a MLK Ultra experiment.

But David Shawty has always tested the boundaries of his own sound, and OOZE, is backed by producers Cortdot, Illa, Hoodwtch, Deceased, Marvin, Keyblade, Outby16, Safeguard, and Noir Brent, who all have pushed the boundaries of their own. Together they have delivered one of the most interesting projects of the year. This isn’t one you want to miss out on. Check it out for yourself below and let us know what you think.
